Brian Anderson warms up during an October 12 Arizona Fall League game between the Scottsdale Scorpions and the Phoenix Desert Dogs. Anderson was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 14th round (432nd overall pick) of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft out of Long Beach State. Anderson went 1-5 with a 3.93 earned run average and recorded 29 saves for the Double-A Connecticut Defenders of the Eastern League in 2007. The relief pitcher fanned 46 batters in 50 and 1/3 innings. …
