I wouldn’t do that trade. Eric Byrnes is flat out a better fantasy option than Markakis. Clay Bucholz could end up with the same, or more, value than Weaver by season’s end. I really wouldn’t mind giving up Weaver for Bucholz, only because he will get a rotation spot now that Schilling is out for half the season. But no way I give up Byrnes for Markakis.

Your pitchers are ridiculously good. How’d you get Hamels, Verlander, and Kazmir? Hamels and Verlander are both top 10 pitchers and Kazmir top 15. Young could join th elite this year as well. Anyway, I’d pick up Shaun Marcum and drop Bronson Arroyo. Arroyo had one good year in 2006 and that’s it. The other years were decent at best. He pitches in a hitters park and can be inconsistent. Marcum strikes out more batters and can win more games because he is on a better team. Other than that, you’re good to go.
