    I’m a Mets fan, but I’d actually include Mike Pelfrey in our top 3, possibly even our top 2. He had 13 wins last season, but like Johan, was cost so many wins because of the bullpen. Just when he was turning around, when Willie and Peterson got fired, he was 2-6 and had 4 straight winning decisions that were blown. If he would have had even 3 of those, he would have had 16 wins. I’m sure Mets fans remember the game when Pelfrey through eight shut out innings and came out with a 3-0 lead. Than Mark Reynolds of the Diamondbacks, with 2 runners on, 2 outs and 2 strikes, hit a three run home run off Billy Wagner. The Mets winded up winning the game on like a 13th inning walk off HR by Beltran, but it cost Pelfrey a win. Pelfrey has really high potential. Ollie was cost some wins too, but it turned out beneficial because it lowered his market value. I’d say he’s our 3. Him and Maine are about equal. Perez has consistency issues, while Maine has had arm issues. We really do have 4 solid starters though. With your Giants, even if Zito can’t be the pitcher he once was, but still decent. you’ll arguably have the best rotation. The D’Backs got an awesome rotation with Webb and Haren too. I think they won a combined 38 wins last season.
